Born To Vote
Every United States citizen should be registered to vote once they are born. It is a common rule that you must be at least 18 years old by the next general election to register and vote. Granted being registered to vote as a child and having to wait several years does not sound intuitive. It is what I have learned to be a “No Excuse Organized Plan.”
A “No Excuse Organized Plan” or basically a fool’s proof plan is something I learned from my Senior Aerospace Science Instructor (SASI or Commanding Officer) in my Junior ROTC days from high school. We always discussed upcoming operations during our weekly staff meetings and our daily engagements. The main goal was always getting the highest amount of engagement from the unit and having the highest success rate.
The least amount of fails and audibles, the better.
No matter if progressive activist or a neo-conservative talking head backing the GOP: their goal has been the advancement of their agenda. Get the most votes. One of the hardest parts of getting people to vote is — getting people to vote. The next endeavor being registering voters. I learned this through a service project of a fellow Eagle Scout brother.
So, as a person that is involved in civics. It would behoove you to remove as many excuses, as many obstacles to get more citizen engagement. Civil organizations have consistently engaged their nearby and communities at-large to vote in hope of better results in government.
If you remove the factor of registration, you can focus more energy on the education.
If being registered at birth is too much for some to consider; once a citizen obtains a license or identification from the state they are to be registered. It should take nothing to register a voter as provisional as a driver would be if they are underage.
