Just because President Trump lost the 2020 election, it does not mean he is out of office yet!

Recent legislation

President Trump has recently signed a bill called the 1776 commission. It’s motive is to bring back ”a more patriotic sense to education.“ In context, this would most likely mean less Black American history, stopping the growing women and gender studies and other such curriculums.

Here’s the tweet:

This can easily be seen as a response to the 1619 project, conducted by the New York Times and several notable figures in the United States. Also, just a response to the improving education of public schools in the United States.

It is interesting to believe that our [sometimes state] national and Eurocentric world history we take from Elementary until college is a required general education class. However, unless you are at a Black College, more formally known as a Historically Black College and University, taking an African studies or Black American studies is just an elective.

In what lifetime is Africa not relevant to the Western world. Especially the United States.

It is groundbreaking to be “the first Black/Hispanic/Asian etc.” for whatever in the United States. This is not just because the country is extremely diverse with a myriad of ethnicities and culture.

It is because of the society we have lived in and continue to [with moderation] today.

If we are to be the premiere country in the world; We have to be on-top of our game.

We are rake-up trillions of dollars from our businesses doing exports; Internally it is booming too. Our technology is always top-tier [credit South Korea, Japan, and the various African countries that we take resources from].

So why is it that our research and development department, that focuses on us is lackluster: Mediocre.

Our university systems have continually proven to be cash-cows off of athletes and student loans. Our primary and secondary schools have continually proven to neglect certain subjects [not even considering social studies] that there is an odd educational gap in our country.

Black kids from a predominately white or low-income neighborhood are dumbfounded and astonished by their people’s history. Some will never know. Even I, a graduate of an affluent Black county in Maryland, find myself shocked learning some stories. And not African events: domestic terrorism on minorities and Blacks, systematic racism on minorities and Blacks and systemic racism on minorities and Blacks.

Off Par Comment: The only reason so many voters are liberal/progressive is because the current politics does not favor them at all compared to White Men specifically.

You can remove a racist system by law, but cannot remove long ingrained racism via the people. It is passed down amongst families, so even if the laws change: the mindsets don’t.

What’s the next move?

Stay vigilant. Keep an eye on bills in congress. We have a new administration coming in 2021: So, we use them to adjust the failures we have now.

People will never understand your struggle until they can see or feel it for themselves. So, as a people we keep amplifying the struggles. We keep networking. Not everyone will be your friend, but they can be an ally. At the minimum, a neutral power with a sense of justice.
